We are a family owned Mediterranean Cafe. We started our first Cafe in Lewes in 2002 after Jack and Loretta Steele decided they wanted to retire and the Lamp Post was sold. Richard and Mark Steele wanted to try something new and Cafe Azafran was born. After eight years we moved Cafe Azafran to Rehoboth on Baltimore Avenue and are still there today. We missed being in Lewes and serving the Lewes community so we were thrilled when we got the opportunity to move into Patty’s when she left Lewes. This location is a much smaller version of the original Cafe Azafran, but we somehow managed to utilize every square inch of space and make it into a cozy little cafe serving all the original coffee, drinks, baked goods,baked oatmeal we are known for along with great salads and sandwiches.
